QMC Capoeira UK will be hosting a Capoeira singing festival!
We want to encourage Capoeiristas to take part and bring their Axe, celebrating and sharing the culture and energy of Capoeira.

Cost to take part: £25
The RULES & CATEGORIES are as follows:
Beginner:
- You will need to choose 3 CORRIDOS to sing
Intermediate graduations:
- You will need to choose 3 CORRIDOS to sing
- You can choose to sing WITH or WITHOUT an INSTRUMENT
- If you choose to sing with an instrument you will also be judged on how you play that instrument.
Advanced graduations:
- You will chose a Ladainhas + corrido
OR
- You will choose a Quadra + corrido
- You can choose to sing WITH or WITHOUT an INSTRUMENT (you will be judged on playing)

ALL CATEGORIES will be judged on the following:
- The pronunciation of the lyrics
- The harmony and melody of the song and the singing
- The rhythm of the singing
- The tone of the participants' voice
- The axé the participant puts into the song
- How well they understand thrit chosen song and how well they convey the lyrics and meaning
- The technique and playing ability of instruments (if choosing to play one)
