On Sunday 1st July 2018 QMC Escola de Capoeira will be hosting its 10th Batizado & Troca de Cordas!

The theme for this year's Batizado is Honouring Ancestry.

Once a year we have our Graduation ceremony where students receive their new cordas (belts) and graduate to their next level of training. We celebrate this moment with what is known in Capoeira as a Batizado & Troca de Cordas (Baptism and changing of the corda).

As well as celebrating our students' graduations, we also like to celebrate the work we do together as a school by presenting an Afro-Brazilian culture show that showcases our students' many talents, ranging from performing folk dances, performing music and performing acrobatics.
