(ENG) *Graduado Tubarão* is from the city of Santiago de los Caballeros and has been training Capoeira for 9 years. He started in Capoeira in Santiago under Graduado Boa Vida from Grupo Axé Capoeira - Mestre Barrão in 2009. In 2013 he entered the same group under the direction of Contra-Mestre Marcus Cabeça in London.
In 2017 he decided to join Quilombo Marcus Cabeça Capoeira School and under the guidance of its founder, Contra-Mestre Marcus Cabeça, began to prepare to teach and form the new arm of the school: QMC Escuela de Capoeira - Dominican Republic.
Graduado Tubarão is also a psychologist, lecturer for the Psychology School at Pontificia Universidad Católica Madre y Maestra. He holds a master's degree in Cognitive-Behavioural Therapy from the University of Derby in the UK. His vision of Capoeira, like that of Contra-Mestre Marcus Cabeça, is that it can be used as an agent for behavioural change in his students. Capoeira is a tool that can contribute not only to the physical, but also to the emotional wellbeing of a person, creating a sense of belonging, self-esteem and self-confidence.
It is with this objective that Graduado Tubarão promotes in its students healthy habits, discipline and good character in a positive atmosphere of camaraderie and respect.
