Exciting News – Our Croydon Classes Are Back!

We are delighted to announce that QMC School of Capoeira has secured a new venue in Croydon, and our weekly classes will be returning from Tuesday 8 September.

Our new home is Broadmead Primary School, Croydon, where we will continue delivering our community capoeira programme every Tuesday from 7:00 pm to 8:30 pm for young people and adults aged 12 years and above.

This programme is supported through funding from the Mayor of London, helping us make high-quality cultural and physical activities more accessible to the local community. Thanks to this funding, financial support is available for eligible participants who may otherwise struggle to afford the classes, while everyone is welcome to join, regardless of experience.

Our Croydon project began earlier in the programme, but after having to change venues, we are excited to resume the final phase of the project in our new location. The classes will run throughout the autumn term, with a break only during the October half-term.

Capoeira is much more than a martial art. Participants develop fitness, confidence and coordination while exploring Brazilian culture, learning music and percussion, practising acrobatics, improving teamwork and making new friends in a welcoming and inclusive environment.
